Description | Enrique Mendoza Petit Verdot Crianza - Red Wine
Enrique Mendoza Petit Verdot Crianza - Red Wine is a red wine from Alicante produced by Bodegas Enrique Mendoza from selected Petit Verdot grapes from Finca el Chaconero, following a sustainable philosophy and environmentally respectful agriculture. Fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine is aged for 15 months in barrels: 10 months in new Oregon American oak and 5 months in one-year-old Allier French oak.
It has a deep red color with violet reflections. On the nose, notes of forest fruits such as blackberries, blueberries and strawberries stand out, enveloped by marked hints of graphite, damp earth, undergrowth, toast and smoke. On the palate, it reveals itself as powerful, serious and full-bodied, with abundant tannins and a strong presence that reflects both the grape variety and the aging in wood.
This is an intense, handcrafted wine that may develop natural sediment over time. Decanting before serving is recommended, and it should be enjoyed between 16 and 18°C. It is an excellent choice to accompany red meats, roasts, stews, and risottos.
