Description | Albariño La Val Fermentado en Barrica - White Wine
Albariño La Val Fermentado en Barrica - White Wine, from Bodega La Val, is a white wine from the Rías Baixas region made exclusively from the Albariño grape variety. For this single-varietal wine, the best grapes from Finca Arantei were selected, aiming to obtain a balanced profile of alcohol, acidity, and extract, capable of benefiting from aging in French Allier oak barrels for 6 months, with periodic lees stirring.
It has a golden-yellow color with greenish reflections. The aroma reveals good intensity, with well-integrated fruit and wood. Creamy notes of pastry, coconut, vanilla, and toast stand out, resting on a background of ripe fruit and citrus hints. On the palate, it is creamy, flavorful, and balanced, with a fresh and creamy finish, again marked by delicate toasted notes.
It should be served at 12ºC. It is an excellent choice to accompany roasted fish, with or without sauce, shellfish, fresh and semi-cured cheeses, foie gras, rice dishes and pasta. An Albariño aged in oak barrels that combines Atlantic freshness with greater complexity and texture.
