Description | Murua Blanco Fermentado en Barrica - White Wine
Murua Blanco Fermentado en Barrica - White Wine is a white wine from Rioja, produced by Murua from indigenous grape varieties: Viura, Garnacha Blanca, and Malvasia. It originates from low-yield vines, aged between 40 and 80 years, cultivated according to traditional Rioja Alavesa practices. Fermentation took place over 15 days in new French and American oak barrels, followed by 9 months of aging on the lees in the same barrels before final bottle finishing.
It has a bright golden-yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it is intense, expressive and clean, with very fresh notes of dried grass, chamomile, white flowers and pine. On the palate, it shows intensity, good acidity, unctuous volume and a balanced whole, where the notes of white flowers and chamomile return, accompanied by a discreet touch of wood.
It is a white wine with a pronounced aromatic profile and enveloping texture, ideal for those who appreciate wines with complexity and subtle oak influence. It is recommended to serve it between 5 and 6 ºC and allow it to aerate in the glass to enhance its aromatic development.
