Pagos de Araiz Blaneo Syrah - Red Wine

Pagos de Araiz Blaneo Syrah - Red Wine is a single-varietal Syrah from Navarra and represents the most premium wine from Pagos de Araiz. Produced in a limited edition of only 3,000 bottles, it comes from grapes grown using organic farming methods, sourced from two slopes situated between 360 and 380 meters of altitude. The vines are rooted in clay-loam and clay-limestone soils, in a continental climate with Atlantic influence, conditions that favor a balanced and distinct expression of the grape variety.

The winemaking process includes alcoholic fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. The wine then ages for a further 12 months in Bordeaux-style French and American fine-grained oak barrels. In the glass, it reveals a bright and intense cherry-red color with a high density. The aroma is dominated by notes of fresh red fruit, balsamic hints, and nuances of tobacco. On the palate, it is ample, full-bodied, and luscious, with a silky finish marked by fruit.

It should be served at 16ºC and pairs very well with roast meats, suckling lamb, game, and stews. A Syrah of character, demonstrating the excellent adaptation of this grape variety to the Navarre terroir. Awarded 94 points in the Gourmets Guide and 92 points in the ABC Guide.
