Description | Krug Rosé - Sparkling Wine
Krug Rosé - Sparkling Wine is a Champagne from the KRUG house, produced in the Champagne region from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes. The 28th Edition was composed around the 2016 harvest and results from a selection of 32 wines from 6 different years, from the youngest in 2016 to the oldest in 2010. The reserve wines represent 38% of the final blend, lending depth and balance to a whole described as lively, ample, and bold.
It presents a subtle pale pink color, a sign of elegance. The aroma features notes of roses, cured ham, blackberries, redcurrant, pepper, and pink grapefruit. On the palate, it reveals delicate flavors of honey, citrus, and dried fruit, lingering on a long finish and enhanced by fine bubbles. This edition's blend includes 58% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, and 17% Meunier, in a balance of structure, delicacy, and aromatic expression.
It should be served between 9 and 12 ºC. At the table, it pairs particularly well with intensely salty dishes, such as anchovies, as well as foie gras, lamb, or game dishes. As is characteristic of KRUG Champagnes, it also has the capacity to evolve favorably over time in the bottle.
