Carvalhas Vinhas Velhas - Red Wine

Carvalhas Vinhas Velhas - Red Wine is a wine from the Porto and Douro region, produced by Quinta das Carvalhas from old vines. It originates from old plots, with carefully selected grapes, in an expression that seeks to reflect the depth and identity of low-yield vineyards.

Fermentation takes place in a traditional lagar (traditional stone trough), followed by 18 months of aging in French oak barrels. This winemaking process contributes to an exuberant and complex aromatic profile, where notes of red and black fruits stand out, enveloped by herbaceous and spicy nuances. The wood is well integrated, adding subtle hints of vanilla without overpowering the fruit.

On the palate, it reveals excellent volume, concentration, and depth, combining power with elegance. It is a structured and harmonious red wine, marked by the intensity of old vines and a balanced finish that highlights the care taken in each stage of its production.
