Antinori Guado Al Tasso - Red Wine

Antinori Guado Al Tasso - Red Wine, by Marchesi Antinori, is a Tuscan red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. This blend was created to express the complexity and elegance of the Bolgheri terroir, and has been produced since 1990 with grapes from vineyards in alluvial soils. The selection of the grapes is done before and after destemming, and each plot is vinified separately, in a rigorous process aimed at achieving the highest quality.

In the glass, it presents an intense ruby-red color. The aroma stands out for its great complexity, with notes of small black fruits, sweet spices, toasted wood, and hints of forest. On the palate, it confirms the same aromatic depth, revealing itself as voluptuous and full-bodied, with remarkable balance. The tannic texture shows harmony, finesse, and persistence, providing an enveloping and elegant tasting experience.

Fermentation and maceration take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 15 to 20 days. After racking, the wine goes directly into barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, the best parcels are selected and blended, and the wine returns to new French oak barrels for aging until bottling. At the table, it pairs especially well with intensely flavored dishes, including Italian specialties such as Piedmontese stew or chicken alla cacciatora.
