Txakoli K Pilota - White Wine

Txakoli K Pilota - White Wine is an Atlantic-profile white wine from Bodega K5, produced in the Txakoli region from the Hondarrabi Zuri grape variety. Made with grapes from the estate's younger vines, it is part of the Getariako Txacolina DO and expresses a fresh, saline style closely linked to the Cantabrian environment. The vines grow in laminated schist and granite soils, factors that contribute to its marked minerality and saline sensation.

In the glass, it presents a bright, clean, and crystalline color, with a pale yellow-green hue and citrus reflections. The aroma reveals high intensity, with notes of citrus, freshly cut hay, and mineral hints that give it depth and complexity. On the palate, it shows good volume, a round and glyceric texture, while maintaining the freshness and Atlantic character typical of Txakolis.

The winemaking process includes maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks with its own yeasts, followed by 5 months of aging on lees, contributing to greater structure and expression. It should be served between 7 and 10 ºC. It is an excellent choice for appetizers and light meals, pairing well with tapas, sushi, seafood, fish, and white meats.
