Description | Tignanello - Red Wine
Tignanello - Red Wine, by Marchesi Antinori, is an emblematic wine of Tuscany and an undeniable reference among the great Italian reds. Produced from Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it has stood out since its creation as a landmark in the history of Italian wine: it was one of the first contemporary reds of the region to incorporate non-traditional grape varieties and to assert an innovative, elegant and profoundly distinct style. It is produced only in the best vintages, preserving a profile of great demand and character.
It presents a deep ruby-red color. On the nose, it reveals exceptional complexity, with notes of red fruits, apricot and peach, enveloped by hints of vanilla, dried flowers, chocolate and nutmeg. The bouquet is completed with hints of coffee, caramel and Mediterranean aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is harmonious and graceful, with silky and vibrant tannins, good vivacity, sapidity and a long finish, marked by notes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate.
It ages for 14 to 16 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months in the bottle before reaching the market. It should be served between 16ºC and 18ºC and pairs particularly well with red meats and poultry, making it an excellent choice for special occasions.
