Terrantez do Pico - White Wine

Terrantez do Pico - White Wine is a white wine from Azores Wine Company, produced in the Azores region from the Terrantez do Pico grape variety. This native variety gives the wine its own identity and expresses in a very particular way the Atlantic origin of the archipelago. It is an interpretation focused on the authenticity of the grape variety and its connection to the territory, reflecting the unique character of Azorean wines.

According to available information, the grapes are mostly harvested on the island of São Miguel and then transported to the island of Pico in 40 kg buckets by plane and boat. This logistical care aims to preserve the integrity of the raw material until it reaches the winery. In the winemaking process, the tanks are cooled before the must from the press is racked after 24 hours. About a quarter of the must ferments in oak barrels and ages for 9 months, with weekly bâtonnage, contributing to greater complexity and texture.
