Description | Quinta do Monte d'Oiro Petit Verdot - Red Wine
Quinta do Monte d'Oiro Petit Verdot - Red Wine is a single-varietal Petit Verdot from the Lisbon region, produced by Quinta do Monte d'Oiro. It is a wine with a distinct profile and very limited production, with only 600 bottles, sourced from small individual plots grown organically.
The harvest is done manually and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with strict temperature control, favoring gentle extraction and long skin maceration. After fermentation, the wine ages for 18 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, gaining greater depth, structure and complexity.
In the glass, it presents a bright ruby color. The aroma reveals a minty, fresh and intense character, with notes of orange slices, green and shrubby nuances, as well as toasted and vegetal hints. On the palate, it is dry, with present tannins and high acidity, in a still very young ensemble with gastronomic potential. It is a wine that clearly benefits from being enjoyed at the table, where its structure and freshness find a better balance.
