Opus One - Red Wine

Opus One - Red Wine is one of California's great wine icons, born from a historic collaboration between Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Produced by Opus One, this red wine expresses a vision of elegance, precision, and depth, bringing together classic grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec.

It presents a dark ruby-red color with purple reflections. On the nose, it reveals an intense and seductive bouquet, with notes of cassis, black cherry, and blackberry, enveloped by delicate hints of violets, white pepper, and rose petals. On the palate, it is silky and structured, with well-integrated tannins and a remarkable sense of balance. The finish is long and persistent, revealing successive layers of flavor, where suggestions of fresh blackberries, orange peel, anise, and dark chocolate emerge.

It is recommended to serve it between 16ºC and 18ºC to appreciate its full complexity. It is an excellent choice to accompany red meats, roast lamb, game dishes and aged cheeses, but it can also be enjoyed on its own, on special occasions.
