Description | Marquês de Borba Vinhas Velhas - White Wine
Marquês de Borba Vinhas Velhas - White Wine is a white wine from the Alentejo region, produced by João Portugal Ramos from old white vines. According to available information, it is a blend of Arinto, Roupeiro, Antão Vaz, and Alvarinho grapes, which contribute to a profile that is simultaneously expressive, fresh, and complex.
In winemaking, the grapes are first cooled in a cold chamber. Fermentation begins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and, after about a third of the alcoholic fermentation, the must is transferred to new and used barrels, where the process is completed. This method helps preserve the freshness of the fruit and adds depth and texture to the whole.
In the glass, it presents a defined color with slight greenish hues. The aroma is dominated by citrus notes, exotic fruit, and elegant hints of spices. On the palate, it reveals complexity, good body, and a very balanced mineral freshness that prolongs the sensation of elegance. An Alentejo white wine with character, ideal for those who appreciate wines with aromatic intensity, structure, and finesse.
