Description | Malleolus de Sanchomartin - Red Wine
Malleolus de Sanchomartin - Red Wine, by Emilio Moro, is a benchmark wine from Ribera del Duero, made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes. It originates in Pago de Sanchomartín, from vines planted in 1944 and subsequently grafted with plant material from the family's oldest vines, reflecting a unique origin and a deep connection to the terroir. Malolactic fermentation and aging take place in new French oak barrels, giving the wine depth, structure, and great precision.
In the glass, it presents an intense deep red color with a very dense layer. The aroma reveals intense notes of the Tempranillo grape variety, perfectly integrated with its aging in high-quality wood. On the palate, it is complex and elegant, with body, structured and rounded tannins, and a long, persistent finish. It is an intense, firm red wine with great aging potential, widely recognized by critics in several vintages. It should be served at 16ºC and pairs very well with ribeye steak, game meats, cold cuts, and cured cheeses.
