Leo d'Honor - Red Wine is a wine from Casa Ermelinda Freitas, produced in the Setúbal Peninsula from the Castelão grape variety. Made with one of the region's most emblematic varieties, it reveals the intense and characteristic profile of this grape, in a style designed for those who appreciate red wines with presence, structure and identity.

According to available information, the winemaking process includes fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a prolonged maceration of 4 weeks, contributing to the aromatic concentration and depth of the wine. The 18-month aging in French oak barrels adds complexity, conferring subtlety and greater richness of expression.

On the nose, notes of black fruit, jam, and spices stand out, accompanied by hints of tobacco and chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with pronounced tannins and a complex taste, finishing with an elegant finish. An intense and balanced red wine that distinctly expresses the Castelão of the Setúbal Peninsula.
