La Grande Dame Rosé - Sparkling Wine

La Grande Dame Rosé - Sparkling Wine, by Veuve Clicquot, is a Champagne with a distinct and elegant profile, created as a tribute to an emblematic figure of the maison. The 2015 vintage results from a composition dominated by Pinot Noir (90%) and Chardonnay (10%), from the house's historic Grands Crus, with the addition of Pinot Noir red wine from the Clos Colin plot in Bouzy, a Grand Cru terroir.

It presents a precious golden pink hue with coppery reflections. On the nose, it reveals a fresh minerality, with hints of flint and sea salt, enveloped by delicate floral notes of jasmine and acacia. Then come hints of juicy fruit, such as pear and clementine orange, accompanied by subtle nuances of brioche and toasted bread, resulting from aging.

On the palate, it displays a subtle, silky, and creamy texture, supported by well-integrated bubbles. The mineral freshness gives way to flavors of white and citrus fruit, evolving into notes of green almond and brioche. The finish is long, elegant, and slightly saline. It is recommended to serve it between 10 and 12 ºC. At the table, it can accompany plant-inspired dishes, such as beetroot carpaccio with salmon or grilled asparagus with thin slices of Iberian ham.
