Description | Fita Preta Laranja Mecânica - White Wine
Fita Preta Laranja Mecânica - White Wine is a white wine with a very original profile, produced by Fita Preta in the Alentejo region, from a blend of Arinto, Roupeiro, Verdelho, Antão Vaz, Alicante Branco, Trincadeira das Pratas, and Fernão Pires grapes. Its production stands out for its unconventional approach: after the first pressing, the wine undergoes about a week of maceration, followed by a second pressing, cold settling, and spontaneous fermentation. No sulfur is added until the end of fermentation; spontaneous and complete malolactic fermentation occurs, and stabilization is achieved with bentonite, without filtration.
In the glass, it reveals a honey-orange color and an exuberant aroma, marked by notes of candied orange and quince, with a character reminiscent of a late harvest. On the palate, it shows a broad attack, an enveloping texture, and a very appealing combination of intensity, freshness, and unctuousness. It is a gastronomic wine, ideal for starting a meal with personality, pairing well with foie gras, terrines, and other rich appetizers, and can also serve as an interesting bridge between white and red wines. A unique expression of the Alentejo region, designed for those seeking wines with identity and character.
