Description | Enate Varietales - Red Wine
Enate Varietales - Red Wine is an elegant red wine from the Somontano region, produced by Enate from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah grapes selected from the winery's own vineyards. Each grape variety ferments separately in stainless steel tanks, preserving its identity, before the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. This is followed by 18 months of aging in barrels and, before bottling, an additional year in tanks, refining and polishing its tannic structure.
It presents a very intense cherry-red color. On the nose, it reveals great intensity and expressiveness, with notes of forest fruits intertwined with floral and spicy aromas, on a background of toffee and praline. On the palate, it is full-bodied and ample, supported by noble and ripe tannins. It is flavorful and fresh, with a long, seductive and elegant finish, where toasty notes subtly return.
It should be served between 16 and 18 ºC. It is an excellent choice to accompany smoked meats, roasts and red meats, and also works very well with lighter dishes, such as rabbit, or even with cheese-based desserts. The label is an original work by the artist Salvador Victoria.
