Cedro do Noval - Red Wine

Cedro do Noval - Red Wine is a wine from Quinta do Noval, in the Porto and Douro region, which reveals a contemporary approach to the great character of the Douro. Produced from a blend of noble Douro Valley grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão and Syrah, it expresses the region's identity with an engaging and balanced profile. The presence of Syrah, introduced to the estate in the early 2000s, contributes to the complexity of the blend, showing a harmonious integration with the Douro terroir.

In winemaking, the grapes ferment in stainless steel vats for about 7 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. In the glass, it presents a dense and deep red color. The aroma stands out for its intensity and opulent, spicy character, with notes of black plum, chocolate, and smoky hints. On the palate, it reveals ripe fruit, well-defined spices, and a firm acidity that supports the whole, providing freshness and persistence. The finish is elegant, with beautiful fruit notes and a light touch of smoke, resulting in an expressive and very gastronomic red wine.
