Burmester Touriga Nacional - Red Wine

Burmester Touriga Nacional - Red Wine is a single-varietal wine made from 100% Touriga Nacional, one of Portugal's most emblematic grape varieties, which here expresses the character of the Douro with elegance and intensity. Produced by Burmester in the Porto and Douro region, this wine showcases the identity of a grape variety recognized for its aromatic richness, structure, and aging potential.

The grapes come from the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior sub-regions, areas renowned for producing high-quality wines. In the winery, the process includes total destemming and crushing, followed by pre-fermentation maceration at 6°C for three days. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 25°C, with post-fermentation maceration for 15 days, allowing for careful extraction of color, aroma, and tannins.

The wine is aged for 12 months in new 225-liter French oak barrels, contributing to greater complexity and depth. It is a particularly suitable choice to accompany red meats and cheeses, proving to be a distinctive option for those who appreciate red wines with a Douro profile and strong varietal expression.
