Description | Bojador Reserve - Red Wine
Bojador Reserva - Red Wine is a wine from Herdade do Rocim, produced in the Alentejo region. Made from Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional and Aragonez grapes, it results from a careful selection of hand-harvested grapes, fully destemmed and subjected to a light crushing. Fermentation takes place in lagares (traditional stone troughs) with mechanical treading and in French oak vats, with intense maceration and rigorously controlled temperature, in a process designed to preserve the depth and expression of the fruit.
Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels and a further 12 months in the bottle, it gains complexity and balance. In the glass, it presents a concentrated ruby color and an aroma marked by very ripe black fruit, enveloped by notes of spices from the oak aging. On the palate, it reveals firm tannins, good concentration and freshness, finishing with a long and persistent finish. It is a particularly interesting choice to accompany complex dishes, red meats and game.
