Description | Bassus Finca Casilla Herrera Magnum - Red Wine
Bassus Finca Casilla Herrera Magnum - Red Wine is a complex red wine from Hispano Suizas, produced in the Valencia region from a blend of Bobal, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. The wine's name originates from its vineyard, a property with particularly favorable soil and climate conditions, allowing for excellent adaptation of both the native Bobal grape and the other varieties. Aging in French oak barrels for a minimum of 20 months contributes to its elegant and profound profile.
In the glass, it presents an intense, medium-high deep red color. The aroma reveals notes of fruit and wood, with vanilla, hints of dairy and licorice, finishing with nuances of toasted wood. On the palate, it is unctuous, ample and mature, with the presence of red fruits, a toasted finish and a very long persistence. It should be served at 18ºC and pairs particularly well with game dishes and elaborate stews. Distinguished as the Best Red Wine of Spain at the Verema Awards 2024, it establishes itself as a benchmark choice for those seeking a red wine of character and sophistication.
