Áster El Espino - Red Wine

Áster El Espino - Red Wine is a contemporary red wine from Ribera del Duero, produced by Áster from the Tempranillo grape variety. Born from a selection of plots — El Espino, Fuentecojo and El Picón — it combines vigor and elegance, power and delicacy, reflecting a current and distinct interpretation of this prestigious territory. Fermentation takes place in 50% tanks and 50% two-use French oak barrels, followed by 12 months of aging in barrels.

In the glass, it presents a medium-high intensity ruby color, with a clean cherry-toned rim. The aromatic profile highlights black fruit, with notes of blueberry, blackberry, and red plum, enveloped by hints of licorice, cardamom, and mineral reminiscences. The wood emerges moderately, with hints of coffee, toffee, and a box of chocolates, adding complexity without obscuring the fruity expression.

On the palate, it reveals itself as deep and balanced, standing out for its freshness and elegance. It is a full-bodied, flavorful wine with a persistent fruity finish, showcasing a contemporary Ribereño character and an excellent tasting experience. It is recommended to serve it at 17ºC. Versatile at the table, it can be enjoyed by the glass, as an aperitif, or to accompany pasta dishes, rice, sushi, light meats, and fish.
