Áster Crianza - Red Wine

Áster Crianza - Red Wine is a Ribera del Duero wine made from Tempranillo, locally known as Tinta del País. Produced by Áster with grapes from the Fuentecojo, La Cueva, and Otero Joven plots, it authentically expresses the character of this prestigious region, in a profile that combines intensity, freshness, and elegance. Fermentation and maceration took place over 18 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels with weekly bâtonnage for two months. Aging continued for 16 months in French oak barrels, contributing to its structure and sophistication.

It presents an intense garnet color with hints of dark cherry, deep and bright. On the nose, it reveals balsamic, spicy and woody notes, which evolve into black forest fruits, on a background of pepper, licorice and clove. On the palate, it shows breadth and structure, with balanced acidity and elegant, fine and ripe tannins. The finish is fresh and persistent, with hints of wood, clove and black pepper. It is recommended to serve between 16 and 17 ºC. It pairs very well with crispy meats, roasts, spiced stews and smoked, cured and dry cheeses.
